I intentionally use high quality materials and even employ a vintage guitar pickup winder. I am proud to go the extra mile to breathe life into our vintage-style guitar pickups.
I use a Geo Stevens guitar pickup winder as one of my primary winders. Geo Stevens made the winders that Gibson used in the golden era of guitar pickups.

As a musician most of my life (with over 30 years experience playing live music) I have lots of hands-on and ears-on experience with things I like and things I wish were different with various pickup types.
My goal is not to chase the “vintage correct” market, but to make quality pickups that serve needs and solve problems even if it means doing something outside the box.
Pickups are critical as the first piece of the signal chain when playing music. I hope these pickups will inspire you and together we’ll create new masterpieces.

Now, I produce custom guitars and basses, as well as effects pedals and amp modifications.
Lorence Customs has a line of different overdrive, fuzz, delay, and bass preamp pedals with custom circuitry. All effects pedals are copper-lined inside to reduce hum and have better grounding.
